We start every new client interaction with an in-depth discovery call / meeting where we get to know each other, discuss your current and future objectives, and recommend the best course of action. Where I have a glimpse into your brand (or if you don’t have one yet, we will discuss that too).
After our discovery call, we will put together a scope of work outline, timeline, and budget proposal. This will be handed off via a Google Doc so we can both review, revise and approve the SOW. Once it’s approved, we will write-up a comprehensive master service agreement for us to review, redline and e-sign. I’ll then send out an initial 50% invoice due to begin work.
Upon completion of the invoice, we will set-up communication channels and schedule our kick-off call.
The kick-off call is followed by creating moodboards, understanding current brand ID & assets (persona | vision | color palette | use of graphics, fonts and videos), analyzing client inspirations; likes & dislikes; concerns and aesthetics. The easiest way for this is that you send some works (websites | logos | packagins | editorials – depending on what do you need help with) that you love and think represent your vision for your new visual in some way, either aesthetically or in functionality.
We’ll go into creating wireframes to review and approve. After we’ve solidified wireframes my top design priority within the design phase is to create meaningful & strategic general creative direction as a base for your sites aesthetic. This general direction will typically be a first draft of your homepage and allows me to lock-in our aesthetic moving into our page by page design, review, and approval process.
If we are working on something else than digital product, during this phase you'll get moodboards and sketches, which each contains 3 revision rounds.
We generate an interactive link that you can comment on. Once all design assets have been completed and you are 100% happy about the design of your website, we’ll create a developer-friendly version of it and hand it to you. Lastly, the second part of the invoice is sent and we will say goodbye to each other with our eyes full of tears.
