Brexxit pixel game
In 2018, a unique school project provided the opportunity to delve into the multifaceted world of Brexit. The chosen medium for this exploration was a captivating 8-bit computer game, reminiscent of the beloved Super Mario adventures. The game was designed to symbolize the potential consequences of Brexit, specifically the closure of borders and the potential limitations on the free flow of intellectual assets and knowledge.

The 8-Bit Game:
The heart of this project was an engaging 8-bit game where players embarked on a journey with iconic English literary figures — Orwell, Shelley, and Shakespeare. Their mission was to collect books and navigate the challenges represented by the obstacles they encountered. The game's narrative artfully mirrored the concept of intellectual assets facing new hurdles in a post-Brexit world.
As a complementary medium, a Lego limited edition package design added a tactile dimension to the project. One of the game's characters, created in pixel art, was brought to life using Lego blocks. The character served as both a symbol and a tangible connection to the game's world. The Lego figure was captured in photographs and then used as the centerpiece for a meticulously designed package.
